This is the Apache Lightning Youth Football Helmet from LIGHT Helmets.
In our practice, one of our 10 year old kids made a routine tackle and the helmet shell cracked completely at the top of the helmet. Granted this helmet is 6 months old and has been used throughout our season that began in late July.
We are mainly making this review to show this to parents and coaches and above all, to get some feedback.
So far, I’ve already gotten a LOT of great feedback from those on social media regarding their thoughts.
I’m not trying to bash on LIGHT helmets. I think they have some awesome products and I’d love to highlight them rather than bash on them. I just wanted to share our real-life experience that we’re having with this specific one.
